Doug Doudney, President

Douglas S. Doudney, president of the Coalition for Property Rights (CPR), is a fifth generation resident of Central Florida who has enjoyed a successful career of over twenty five years working in multiple facets of the property industry. Through his experience, he has developed a passion for the protection of private property rights and a deep desire to work to restore these rights to a level more in line with the vision of America's Founding Fathers. This passion led to the founding of CPR.

Doudney is deeply involved in the Central Florida community as a business and civic leader. He is a licensed real estate broker and president of Doudney Investment Co.; a founding director of First Commercial Bank of Florida; founding director and past president/chairman of Children First Central Florida, a scholarship fund for underprivileged children; past president of the Rotary Club of Orlando; serves on the Board of the Central Florida Fair and has been active in a number of other civic and charitable organizations.

CPR ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP:

 

Carol Saviak, Executive Director

 

Carol Saviak currently serves as executive director for the Coalition for Property Rights (CPR) and directs its operational and political activities. Carol has a broad background in strategic communications and has helped to craft positive public images for a number of elected officials, businesses and non-profit organizations. Prior to joining CPR in November 2004, she worked for a member of the Orange County Board of County Commissioners, managing media relations and helped to coordinate the "MOVE IT Yes You Can!" regional traffic safety public awareness campaign which included a multi-agency, multi-county MOU.

 

During the 2000 election cycle, Saviak served as a political communications consultant and successfully managed campaigns for state, local and constitutional office. Saviak is also a veteran of two statewide political campaigns, including working to defeat a state constitutional amendment.

 

Carol also has a strong background in public opinion research, and formerly served as Operations Manager for Cherry Communications, one of the nation's leading public opinion and voter contact firms.

 

Her interest in public policy began with her work as a staff member for the Florida Chamber of Commerce's highly regarded Leadership Florida Statewide Community Foundation.

 

Carol is an experienced fundraiser who is active in the community. She has served on the Community Leadership Council of the Howard Phillips Center for Youth and Families, the Boy Scout Council Central Florida Chapter Annual Auction Committee, and has contributed and raised funds for a number of other local charitable organizations.

 

Carol received her Bachelor's Degree in Advertising from the University of Florida's top ranked College of Journalism and Communications. She and her husband, Joe, also a public policy expert, split time between Orlando, Florida and St. Augustine where he teaches government and law at Flagler College.
